PROBLEMS WITH WILD ANIMALS

WILDLIFE NUISANCES TO PROPERTY

Wild animals come under the jurisdiction of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.

When wild animals are creating a pest situation such as hanging around your property, digging or living around your deck and outbuildings or getting into your attic and chimney, you will need to contact a wildlife removal / pest control company.

There are several listed in the yellow pages under "Pest Control".  See also the List of Wildlife Damage and Nuisance Control Permitees from Michigan Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Division. Contact the Department of Natural Resources to make sure the list is current.

HAZARDOUS CONTACT WITH WILDLIFE

If you have a wildlife situation which has a citizen in peril you may contact the Ingham County Animal Control Department 676-8370 during working hours for an assessment of the situation. If we determine there is an immediate health and safety crisis, an officer will be dispatched.
