We seek to facilitate discussion of current policy matters affecting our residents by inviting officials to our meetings. We forward newsletters and information from our elected officials to our membership.

We appreciate the diversity of political views within our neighborhood. A majority vote of neighborhood association members is required for the association to make an official statement in favor or in opposition of a particular policy.

This year Averill Woods, Churchill Downs and Lewton Rich Neighborhood Associations also helped to sponsor the event and support the major efforts of Colonial Village Neighborhood leaders. Over 75 residents were in attendance. Nearly 20 local and statewide candidates presented. Two ballot initiatives were also represented.

Pictures (unsolicited) provided by the "Friends to elect Lupe Ramos-Montigny for State Board of Education" in a thank you email.  We did not have photos of our own and would welcome any additional pictures from candidates or attendees at this event!
